ConsentWise Privacy Policy

OVERVIEW
ConsentWise is a privacy transparency tool that helps you understand how installed apps on your device use your data. We take your privacy seriously.

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

Data processed ON your device (never sent to us):
• Apps installed on your device
• Permissions each app has requested
• Your watchlist preferences
• Your analysis history

Data sent to our backend for analysis:
• App name and permission list only
• Privacy policy text or URLs you choose to analyze
• No device identifiers or personal information is ever transmitted

Crash diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics):
• Anonymous crash reports if the app crashes
• Device type and OS version only — no personally identifiable information

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use data solely to generate AI privacy summaries, improve ConsentWise, and fix bugs. We do NOT sell your data, use it for advertising, or build profiles about you.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
• OpenAI — processes app permission and policy text to generate summaries
• Google Firebase Crashlytics — collects anonymous crash reports
• Replit — hosts our backend infrastructure

DATA STORAGE
All scan results, watchlist data, and analysis history are stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain a server-side database of your scans. You can delete all local data at any time via Android Settings → Apps → ConsentWise → Clear Data.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
ConsentWise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
